Hannah MillsHelmHannah Mills OBE is one of the most successful female Olympic sailors in history. Mills made her Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she won a silver medal in the 470 class alongside her team-mate Saskia Clark. The duo continued to excel in subsequent years, winning several World Championship titles and a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Hannah’s dominance in the event continued at the Tokyo Olympics, where she won gold once again, an achievement which led to her winning the 2021 Rolex World Sailor of the Year award.

Ellie AldridgeHelmEllie Aldridge is a British sailor and Athena Pathway team member. Born on 29 December 1996 in Poole, Dorset, Aldridge began sailing at a young age at Parkstone Yacht Club and went on to excel across multiple high-performance disciplines. She rose to international prominence in kitefoiling, winning the 2023 Formula Kite European Championship and a silver medal at the World Championships, before making history at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she became the first Olympic gold medallist in the women’s Formula Kite event. Following her Olympic success, Aldridge joined Athena Pathway’s Women’s and Youth America’s Cup programme in Barcelona, where she contributed both on and off the water and gained experience with high-speed AC40 foiling race boats. Her diverse sailing background and competitive mindset enrich Athena Pathway’s mission to fast-track female and youth talent in high- performance sailing, combining world-class racing with innovation and development opportunities.

Anna Burnet

Anna BurnetTrimmerAnna Burnet is one of Britain’s leading sailors, with a career spanning Olympic success and elite foiling competition. She began sailing on the west coast of Scotland, progressing through the British pathway and developing across high-performance classes. As part of the British Sailing Team, Burnet initially competed in the 470 class before transitioning to the Nacra 17 foiling catamaran. Partnering with John Gimson, she established herself as one of the world’s top mixed multihull sailors, winning a silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Her career also includes three world titles, underlining her consistency and ability to perform at the highest level. Alongside her sailing, Anna studied at the University of Southampton, balancing academic achievement with elite sport. While training for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, she is part of the Athena Pathway, showcasing the exceptional talent within British women’s sailing.

Hattie RogersTrimmerHattie Rogers began sailing in Lymington and progressed through a successful youth career into high-performance foiling classes. She became one of the leading female foiling sailors, winning International Moth Female World and National Champion titles, as well as WASZP Female World, European, and National Champion titles. and received the prestigious YJA Yachtsman of the Year award. In 2024, Hattie joined the Athena Pathway as part of the British Youth and Women’s America’s Cup programme. Alongside her elite sailing career, she holds a first-class Master’s degree in Ship Science Engineering and supports the team through data analysis and performance insights.
